Seven Ways to Save Money Without Sacrificing Your Lifestyle

Are you looking for ways to save money, but don’t want to sacrifice your current lifestyle?

You’ll be surprised at how many different things you can do to achieve this. Below are just a few ideas you can utilize to start saving money during these rough financial times.

Start by saving money like this…..

1. Eating Out:

For some people, eating out is one of their biggest variable expenses, but you can still save money without sacrificing your lifestyle. You can often find restaurant coupons in the paper or online.

* You can also cut your bill in half by sharing a meal. We all know restaurant portions are huge and can probably feed at least two people. Cut down on the amount of food you eat and save money by sharing a meal with a friend or spouse.

2. Gas:

There’s several different ways you can save money on gas by simply thinking about how many unnecessary trips you take and planning fewer trips where you can. This is where planning your day and clustering errands into one trip is key.

* Also, if you have more than one driver in your family, the person who drives the furthest to work or school should use the most fuel-efficient vehicle. It sounds obvious, but that’s because it is!

3. Consolidating Payments:

Often your lender or bank will give you a loan to help reduce your monthly costs and interest payments. If you can’t get a loan, see if you can transfer your high interest balances to a lower interest credit card. If you have high interest credit cards, one of the smartest ways to reduce debt is to negotiate those interest rates.

4. Cut Out Unnecessary Fees:

There are often hidden fees on credit cards, bank loans, and bank accounts that you may not be aware of. Be sure to read the fine print before signing any contracts. You’ll also want to check your monthly statements for any fees that you may not be aware of and call to complain if you spot anything funny.

* In addition, avoid bouncing checks and cash advances. Both insufficient fund fees and cash advances are probably one of the largest money suckers, but the easiest to avoid. Being in control of your money and knowing where it’s going will help you save money on unnecessary fees.

More idea’s to save money without reducing your lifestyle….

5. Budgeting:

You need to know how much money you have coming in and directing the money where you need it to go. Budgeting means being in control of your money instead of your money controlling you. When you’re on a budget, you can actually save money without losing the lifestyle you desire.

6. Gym Fees:

Belonging to a gym is a helpful way to lose weight and stay in shape; however, the fees can be very costly. Besides, you can still stay in shape and get great workouts at home, while saving tons of money. Workout DVDs (or even free videos on YouTube) cost a lot less than a monthly gym membership and there’s a huge variety to choose from.

* If you use the gym and it’s keeping you healthy, than it’s a good investment. After all, your health is important. But you should also be realistic with your workout expectations, meaning, if you haven’t gone for months, you’re probably not going to go all of a sudden, so you’re better off cancelling the membership.

7. Groceries:

If you’re like most, your grocery bill is one of the biggest bills you have, next to house payments. You can cut this bill by hundreds each month easily. A little planning and effort is all it takes. Using online and paper coupons, in addition to your grocer’s weekly sales flyer can cut your grocery bill by 25 to 30 percent.

* The average family of four spends over $700 a month on groceries. By using coupons and shopping the sales, you can save over $200 a month on groceries. Couldn’t we all use an extra $200 a month right now?

Even more simple ways of saving money:

* Turn off lights when not in use.

* Open windows instead of turning on the air conditioner.

* In the winter, wear sweaters to keep warm and turn down your thermostat.

* Turn the water off while brushing your teeth.

* Take showers instead of baths.

* Unplug any electronic devices when not in use.

Saving money is as easy as finding a better way to enjoy the activities you love. You will not only save money, but you will also reduce financial stress so you can maintain the lifestyle of your dreams!

The Law Of Attraction for You to Make More Money

The Law of Attraction can help you make more money!
Read on to find out how……

These days we all could use some extra income! This article will give you an understanding of how positive thinking and the Law of Attraction are interrelated, as well as explain how you can use these principals for your financial benefit.

We’ve all heard about how positive thinking can benefit you in many ways, but did you know that positive thinking and the Law of Attraction can help boost your income as well?

Positive Thinking

Positive thinking is more than just being upbeat all the time. The term “optimistic” comes to mind; however, positive thinking is much more than just being hopeful, also. Positive thinking is the opposite of negative thinking.

Sounds simple right? Well it’s easier said than done!

Why It’s Important to Think Positively

I’m sure you know someone who’s a negative thinker. They’re usually down most of the time, get depressed easily, and have negative things happen to them recurrently.

Have you ever wondered why this happens? It’s because the negative thinker surrounds himself with negative energy, which attracts more negative things. His thoughts are in harmony with negativity, so that’s what he gets – more of the same!

Positive thinkers, on the other hand, think about encouraging things and surround themselves with positive energy. Their thoughts are in harmony with good things, so they attract more positive opportunities.

Whether you’re aware of it or not, you gravitate toward the outcome of situations because of your thought processes.

Therefore, when you think positively, you’ll make decisions based on that type of outcome, consciously or unconsciously. The same goes if you think negatively.

How to Use the Law of Attraction to Make More Money

If you dwell on the negative – such as how bad the economy is or how tragic situations are – your thoughts, and therefore your decisions, take you down a path to negative outcomes.

However, when you think positively, you now have a fresh start to do something you really enjoy and your thoughts and decisions move you toward those goals.

Now is the time to start thinking positively in this financial downfall.

What are some skills you already have that you could use to bring in some extra cash? How can you take advantage of current trends to boost your income?

Here are some suggestions to help get your thoughts moving in the right direction:

1. Are you artistic or do you enjoy making things with your hands? You might enjoy graphic arts. Now is the opportune time to start your own online business selling graphics, covers, designs, and page layouts.

2. Are you social and do you love interacting with people? Social networking is HUGE and growing by leaps and bounds!

* Social networking platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Stumble Upon and De.lic.ious are changing the way businesses of all types market their products and services. Many companies are hiring people to market their business on these and other social networks.

3. Do you like to write? Blogs are fast becoming the way to update a website consistently, driving more and more traffic to it. Companies are looking for writers to fill their sites with content.

* Posting blogs, article writing, and copywriting are just a few of the ways you can earn money online using skills you already have and a pastime you enjoy.

4. Boost your income at your current job. When you think positive things about your job, you tend to perform better. And when you excel at your work, your boss is more likely to recognize you as a valuable, or even indispensable, team member!

Positive thinking will help lead you in the right direction toward a positive outcome. If you’re naturally a negative thinker, turning those thoughts into positive ones may be a little more difficult, but it can be done.

Summing It Up Positively….

When you start to have negative thoughts, try to catch them before you’re already on the path to destruction in your head. Then, turn them around and focus on positive outcomes.

Over time and with practice, positive thinking can become natural to you. Even better, you’ll be attracting positive outcomes as well. Through positive thinking, the Law of Attraction can bring you many things to be happy about, including financial freedom!
and…tha my friends, is how the Law of Attraction can help you Make More Money!

What to Do When You’re Facing Sudden Job Loss

In today’s economy, unemployment and the thought of losing your job is a real possibility. Perhaps you’re already in that situation. But don’t despair, there are things you can do and places you can go to help you through this tough time.

Of course you need to get out there and find another source of income but in the meantime, here are a few suggestions that may help…

The first place you must go is to your unemployment agency. You may even be able to apply for benefits online. Either way, contacting them is the first step you need to take. The unemployment agency provides financial benefits to those who qualify and they’ll help you find another job.

Extending Unemployment Benefits

Many states are now offering programs that extend unemployment benefits so you can go back to school and learn a new trade or skill. Be sure to ask your local agent about any special programs they’re currently offering.

Although they can make a significant difference in the short-term, unemployment benefits are usually much lower than your normal salary. However, there are many other sources you can also take advantage of to help you get by during this rough financial time.

Facing Job Loss? – Let’s look at some of your options:

1. Reduce monthly expenses.

Take a serious look at some of the things you can live without for a while until you get back on your feet. Go through all of your bills and expenses and cut out the things that aren’t necessities. Be honest with yourself – just because you think you can’t live without your cable or cell phone, doesn’t mean it’s true. Some of the first places to look include:

* Television
* Phones – both cell and land line
* Cell texting or other data communications
* Transportation
* Eating out
* Power usage
* Air conditioning and heating

2. Save money by meal planning.

You can save over $100 (based on a family of 4 with bi-monthly pay periods) on each trip to the grocery store simply by planning meals ahead, using coupons and shopping your grocer’s weekly sales flyers.

* Not only will you reduce how much you spend on food, but you’ll probably reduce some weight around your waistline as well. Who couldn’t use that added benefit?

3. Waiting tables.

One of the fastest ways to earn some quick cash is to wait tables. This may not be glamorous, but it can bring in some immediate cash, and many restaurants beef up staff for the summer months.

4. Community agencies.

If you’re in dire straits and need assistance right now, there are many local agencies you can turn to for aid. The United Way and Salvation Army are located in most areas and offer a variety of programs that may be able to help you.

* Your area may have different agencies, so check online or in the phone book for the ones in your community.

5. Government agencies.

Besides the unemployment agency, most areas have a Department of Human Resources, Social Services, or Health Department that can help or guide you to assistance.

6. Sell items on eBay.

Take a good look around your home, shed, or garage. How many boxes do you have lying around filled with stuff you never use? You’ll be surprised at what people will pay for what you consider junk!

7. Have a yard sale.

You can make a nice chunk of change by selling off furniture, clothing, and other household items you don’t use anymore.

8. Set up your own online or offline shop.

If you can make arts and crafts, sell your items on eBay, Etsy or at local craft fairs.

Cope with Losing Your Job

With some communication, research, and creativity, you can take advantage of your time off to learn a new skill or start a new venture with skills and passions you already have. Have some fun utilizing your creative ability while making the extra money you need to make ends meet.

These tough financial times don’t have to be devastating. Use these tips to take advantage of the resources available to you to reduce the negative impact on your life. You may even look back on this time as the lucky stroke that pushed you toward success in your new career!

Facing sudden job loss or losing your job anytime can be devastating, but dont let unemployment get on top of you! The sooner you pick yourself up and move forward, the better!

How To Cope With The Economic Crisis

Ok, so we all know we are supposedly in an economic meltdown!
But what can you do to cope with the economic crisis at a grass roots level?

Well, in today’s addition to my money management series, I have some idea’s that you can use right now to re-assess and reorganize your finances so that you easily cope with the economic crisis! Read on……

As you may well know, we are currently in the worst economic situation since the Great Depression. What exactly does this mean and how can you survive until the economy gets back on its feet?

It’s far too easy to panic and make rash decisions when the future is uncertain and frightening, so don’t dwell on the latest news, just keep yourself in the loop.

The first thing to do is stay current on what’s happening with the economy. You need to have a basic understanding of it all and keep up with the changes that are happening as well. Without this information, you may make decisions that could be detrimental to your financial future.

Here are a few things to remember that can help you survive the economic meltdown:

1. Spend Wisely.

Where do you normally shop? If you answer high priced specialty stores, you may need to change your habits.

* Skip the Starbucks stop on your way to work and bring your morning coffee from home instead.

* Start heading to discount supermarkets and dollar stores. Believe it or not, dollar stores sell cleaning supplies for $1, as opposed to four or five dollars for the same thing in another store.

2. Spend Less.

This is pretty straightforward, but it’s an important reminder. If you went out to dinner 3 times a week before the economy dipped, try 2 times a month now. Put simply: if you don’t need to spend money on something, don’t. The money you save can help pay your bills.

* In this economy, survival requires sacrifice. You’ll have to cook at home more or maybe rent a movie instead of going to the theater. It could be worse, so make due with what you have!

3. Markets.

If you own stock invested in a long-term investment, leave it there. The markets will fluctuate up and down, and sometimes it will happen sharply. But over time, the market will recover; it’s a normal ebb and flow.

* If you’re concerned about your investments, ask a professional for their advice. Don’t pull it too soon in a knee-jerk reaction from a steep drop. This is the nature of the stock market and you should be prepared for this type of thing happening.

4. Diversify.

Simply put, don’t place all your eggs in one basket. If all your investments are in one place, spread them out. Look into CD’s, money markets and bonds. These types of investments are slow and steady and the principal is protected. I have also found Gold to be an excellent investment over the past few years!
google_ad_height = 250;
// -->

In the meantime…..

get creative and find new ways to make some extra money and save on expenses during the economic crisis:

* The worst thing you can do in this economy is ignore the fact that there’s a problem or think it won’t affect you. Consider everything expense you have and devise ways you can get it for less. You can make this recessionary economy work to your benefit by negotiating cheaper rates.

* Look into home based Internet businesses and ways to generate passive income. Affiliate marketing is great for this. There are places all over the Internet with these types of programs.

* Search through your garage, attic and basement for things you own that you don’t need anymore and sell them online.

You may have to look a little harder for opportunities, but they’re still there. Take the skills you have, along with your passion, and find ways to generate some passive income from them. When you do these things, you’ll be able to weather the storm and come out ahead!

These times are tough. Unemployment is on the rise, jobs are harder to find, and businesses are closing down faster than ever before. Still, this is not something to fear. These things happen. It’s all part of a cycle and the economy will bounce back.

I hope you can see the light at the ned of the tunnel – it is there!
Just utilize a few of these simple suggestions on how to cope with the economic crisis and you will find that although it can be considered by some as a disasterous economic meltdown, its all about how we deal with the issue at hand!
I don’t think Bill will read my article though….lol

To manage your money, you actually need to have some to start with. Here are 5 easy ways to make more money this weekend.

It used to be that if you needed to make more money, you needed to pick up a second job, like bussing tables a few weekends a month or showing up early at the bakery to help with the ovens.

Now, thanks to the doors opened by the internet, and the ease of starting your own business, it’s gotten easier than ever to bring in some extra money without working yourself to death in the process.
<!--

No matter what you do for a living, there’s always an incentive to make more money. Maybe you’re trying to pay off credit card bills, save up for something special, or have a little cushion should something unexpected happen in your life.

Here are five ways you can make more money in a pinch:

1. Ask for a raise at your current job.

There’s no doubt that asking for more money is difficult, especially during a recession, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Most people are too scared to ask for a raise, so you can use this to your advantage.

* Assemble a list of the things you’ve accomplished at your work in the last nine months and make your case.

* Another way you may be able to make more cash at your job is to ask your boss if there’s extra work you can do to gain more hours or get paid more for increased responsibilities.

2. Sell your unused items.

Do you have books you’ll never read again collecting dust on your bookshelf? Is your closet full of outgrown or embarrassing clothes? Are your old computers taking up too much space? Sell them!

* Have a yard sale.

* Sell your things to specialty shops like second hand clothing shops, used bookstores, used furniture stores, or even repair shops that need parts from what you have.

* Use eBay. Lots of things without local markets have a national or global market, and there are people who’ll buy the oddest things on eBay.

In particular, if you’ve got some sort of fairly obscure electronic hardware, try selling it on eBay first. Chances are someone wants it and is willing to pay a premium for it.

3. Get a work from home job.

There are lots of telephone based customer service jobs that you can do with just a computer and an Internet connection. Some of them pay remarkably well and all of them have relaxed dress codes to boot!

4. Start your own part-time business.

Transform one of your hobbies or skills into a second business. There’s nothing quite as exhilarating as turning your love for something into a business and making it profitable.

5. Trade skills for cash.

Are you a skilled seamstress, writer, or graphic designer? There are countless websites where you can use your expertise to earn extra money.

Not Sure how to start to make more money?

* If you’re not sure how to get started, take a few minutes to do an Internet search. Resources abound on the ‘net that can help you find buyers for your skills.

Many of these money-making ideas will work fairly quickly with little effort. You can take it one step further and significantly boost your income by creating a business you can run from the comfort of home.

Its all about devising a plan and taking massive action. Take action and you can make more money today!!

Need Debt Help?
Here’s some Need to Know Debt Information

Most people have debt to deal with but don’t look for debt help or information that will put them ahead of the pack when dealing with debt problems – so, I’m really glad you’re here!

You can repair your debt problems and learn to avoid creating them in the future. These five steps will point you in the right direction and get you started on a new path to financial freedom and prosperity!

These days everyone is looking for ways to reduce debt and save money. It is possible to wipe out your existing debt problems and learn how to live your life within your means.

Here are five debt help tips that will help you on your way to debt free living:

1. Create a realistic budget that includes debt repayment.

The first step in gaining control over your debt is creating a workable budget. Rather than stifling you, a budget can bring you freedom! You’ll know where your money goes and you’ll set a spending plan so you can continue buying the most important things in your life.

* If your budget doesn’t include room for debt repayment, there will never be enough money to pay off your debt and you will find yourself with even more debt problems. Take control of your financial reality by working with a realistic budget every month. Before long, you’ll see your debt diminishing while your savings grow.

* Your budget should take into consideration all facets of your lifestyle, including housing, food and household items, utilities, savings, recreation and debt repayment.

2. Stop using credit cards.

One of the leading factors in the current economic crisis is people buying things on credit they cannot afford. The next thing they know, they find themselves unable to do anything more than make minimum monthly payments.

* Don’t fall into the trap of credit card debt. Instead, avoid the hassle and expense by paying cash for the things you buy. If you want a big-ticket item, save the cash before you make the purchase. Only buy when you can afford to pay for the item in full before you bring it home.

* here’s a gold nugget of debt information…..Minimum payments will keep you in debt because every month interest continues to accrue on your original balance. A $1,000 balance on a typical credit card can take 22 years to pay off if you make only the minimum monthly payments!

3. Buy luxury items with cash.

We all have extras and luxuries we want, but using credit to get them is a dangerous path to take. You’ll get much greater enjoyment from the extras in your life when you pay cash, rather than ongoing monthly payments.

* Nothing takes the excitement out of a new toy or nice vacation more than the large payments that strain your budget month after month.

4. Negotiate better rates with the banks or credit card companies.

Many people assume they have no choice but to accept the interest and finance rates offered by their banks and credit card companies, but that isn’t always the case! When you need debt help – ask for it!

* If your credit is in good shape or you’ve made steady, progressive strides to improve it, you may be able to get lower interest rates on your debts.

* You might also receive higher interest rates on your savings, giving you a double shot at eliminating your debt entirely and moving forward with your finances in a positive direction.

* Talk to the people at your financial institutions. You may be surprised at how willing they are to budge and actually help you with your debt problems.

5. Seek the help of a professional credit counselor, accountant or financial planner.

The best way to be sure you’re making sound financial decisions is to seek out the help of a financial professional and get up to date debt information.

* Credit counselors, financial planners and accountants are experts in the areas of savings, debt repayment, investments and tax deductions. Implement each of these areas into your finances to eliminate financial strain and secure a stable financial future.

Once you find in yourself in a pile of debt or facing severe debt problems, it often seems like there is no way out – but there is!

Please seek help if you find yourself unable to manage your finances for whatever reason. Get good debt information and find a pro that can give you good debt help soon!

How You Can Save Money During a Recession

We would all like to save money during the current economic climate, so how can you save money during a recession? It’s all about planning, cutting frivolous costs, and changing the way you spend money.

Finding ways to cut back on your spending can help you during this difficult economic period. Saving money is always good, but it’s a skill that becomes especially important during a recession.

Whether you want to admit it or not, there’s a global recession happening, and it’s affecting millions of families. People are being laid off, companies are going under, and even some state governments are completely broke.

What If I Could Show You A Real Plan To Take Control Of Your Money And Find The Peace Of Mind You’ve Been Looking For…. Would You Be Interested? – Click Here!

Here are some handy tips you can use to help you save money:

1. Put the credit card down.

Credit purchases may get your “stuff” now, but you’ll pay double for it later. If you want something, save up and pay cash or wait.

2. Pay important bills first.

The mortgage, electricity, water and heat have to be paid no matter what.

3. Unplug.

If there are things in your house plugged into the wall and you aren’t using them, unplug them. Many items, like computers and phone chargers, draw electricity whether they’re on or not. Plug it in when you need it, then unplug it when you’re done.

4. Lower your thermostat.

Set your thermostat at a specific temperature and leave it there. 68 to 70 is an energy-saving setting in the winter. If you get chilly, put on a sweater or grab a blanket. You’ll save more than you realize on your heating bills.

5. Save Money on groceries.

Groceries are a huge, yet necessary, expense. After the bills are paid, most of the budget will fall into the groceries category.

* Buy non-perishable foods in bulk. Many items can be bought in bulk such as rice, canned foods, and frozen foods

* Buy generic rather than name brands. They usually taste just as good but cost less.

* Make a list of what you need and stick to it. It really is that simple!

* Never shop on an empty stomach. Eat before grocery shopping; otherwise, you’ll wind up buying more junk and convenience foods because you’re hungry.

* Avoid shopping at expensive stores, even if they’re closer to home. Instead, go a few miles out of the way for the discount grocery stores. Most items in the store are exactly the same thing, other than the price tag.

* Cut and use coupons. 10 for $10 deals and sale items are your friends. Combining coupons with sales can slash your grocery bill even more.

6. Rent movies instead of going out.

Have a movie night once a week. Sit down with some popcorn (the kind you pop on the stove) and watch a movie. This is a great way to spend quality family time, without much expense.

7. Cook at home.

If you go out to eat two or three times a week, cut back to once every two weeks or once a month. Instead, learn to cook at home. If you plan ahead and cook in quantities, you’ll save time and save money by popping the extra portions into the freezer.

Teach your Kids about Money – Click Here!

It’s important to stick with your plan to save money during a recession. Making a change for a week won’t do the trick. Committing to changing bad habits for good will reap the greatest benefits in the long run.

These are just some of the many ways to save money and stretch your dollar a bit further during these challenging times. These tips require a change to your habits, which can take some getting used to. In time, however, you’ll adjust and the money you save can make a big difference in your budget.

Saving money is important anytime but if you can save money during a recession – imagine what you can save when the economis crisis turns around!

Today we will start with a few easy suggestions to get you on the way to keeping more of your money in your pocket!

When you are looking to save money for an investment or a big expense like a vacation, car or home, you need to implement money management tips. Remember that managing your money doesn’t mean you have to give up your entire life, it just means that you have to be a little more mindful of your cash flow.

Here are some simple start ups for you…..

1. Map Out Your Expenses

For a month, write down everything you buy. Don’t worry about obsessively reviewing it every day, but take the time to make it accurate. You’ll find that there are plenty of unnecessary purchases you can eliminate from your budget without thinking twice.

* This is a great way to track your cash expenses, which includes all the times you stop for coffee, go out for lunch, or stop by the dry cleaners. Write down every penny spent and review it the end of each month.

2. Pay Your Bills on Time

This goes without saying, but keep in mind that missing your payments on your bills will make the late fees pile up. This should also be a reminder to make sure that you return your library books or DVD rentals on time.

* Set up automatic bill payments and you’ll never have to worry about late fees again.

3. Reduce Unnecessary Services

One of the most common money wasters is paying for services you really don’t need. For example, how many television channels do you really watch? Chances are good that there are a few dozen channels you simply never turn to. If you can get rid of some of your programming, you just may find that you’ll have some extra cash at the end of the month.

* Call your telephone, television, and wireless phone companies and ask if your plan is the most cost effective. If you don’t use call waiting or text messaging, don’t pay for it.

4. Reduce Driving

With the skyrocketing prices of gas, try alternate methods of transportation, especially for frequent or shorter trips. Get a bike, try the bus or train when you travel, or walk if you’re heading somewhere closer. Take some time and really analyze where your gas money is going.

* If you can’t use public transportation to get to work, consider carpooling with someone else in your company. This reduces the wear and tear on your car and will save you gas money, especially if three or four people share the ride. Also try grouping your errands all at once so you can get it all done in one trip.

5. Budget Your Eating Expenses

When you’re looking at where you spend your money, you might be surprised that so much of it is spent on take-out or restaurants. It all adds up!

* Limit the number of times you go out every week and start planning your menus when you cook at home. This will make a huge difference in your grocery bill.

Make Sure to Get Your Family Involved

Saving money and using these money management tips will be easier if you have your whole family on board, supporting the effort together. After all, these are good money lessons to teach children of all ages.

Don’t be intimidated with the idea of saving money. Just by implementing a few of these tips each month – and sticking with it – will help you keep more money in your bank account!

I have lots to share on this topic, but didn’t really consider this issue personal development until I was asked!

When you think about it though, it is definately a self improvement topic when you will be better off both financially and have a better attitude to life with more money to spend!

I will write regularly on money management and plan to offer money management tips and suggestions at least twice weekly from now on!
